Can I be hypnotized against my will?
No you cannot. Hypnosis is actually a state of purposeful cooperation between the hypnotist and hypnotized, you cannot be hypnotized if you do not wish to cooperate
Will I be asleep?
Hypnosis is a state of pleasant and deep relaxation. It is a different state from normal conscious waking but is not sleep. People in hypnosis will be aware of the hypnotherapist's voice and sounds around them which often help them to become even more relaxed
Can I be made to reveal secrets?
One common misconception is that a hypnotized person loses their will and is partially or completely under the command of the hypnotist. Nothing could be further from the truth. This unfortunate belief is reinforced by many stage hypnotists. The truth is that in hypnosis, you are in control of yourself, and cannot be made to do anything that is against your will.
